FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Counselling is usually called the talking therapy but I also use creative therapy which accesses the right side of the brain. Animal figures, pictures, drawing, creative writing and figures may be used during the sessions. Clients normally enjoy working in this way and the results are often very rewarding.
Length of counselling?
This is a personal journey for you and the length of counselling will vary with each individual. We come to an arrangement about the
length of the contract and frequency of sessions by mutual consent. Sessions normally last one hour.
What happens at the first session?
The initial appointment gives you the opportunity to meet your counsellor, to talk about what has prompted you to seek counselling and
to decide if counselling is for you. It is the time when you will be able to ask any questions you have about the counselling process
and explore what you hope to achieve through the counselling process. This is a shorter session of 30-45 minutes and there is no charge.
How much will it cost?
The first consultation is free.
Fees are £25 for a single session.
There are concessions for clients of genuine financial need so please feel free to discuss this with me.
